Welcome to the twelfth and final day of Christmas, January 6th 2026, this is known as Nollaig na mBan (Woman’s Christmas).

This is a day which gives thanks to Mothers, Grand Mothers, Sisters, Aunts and Wives. Traditionally women were the backbone of Irish families (“cnamh droma an teaghlaigh”) and kept everything in order.

On this old Irish traditional day off when the men folk did all the work the women met female friends and female family members and other women in the local community to talk, have tea and cake.

This is an Irish traditional day for all women to enjoy. A wonderful New Years gift for those special ladies in your family. Dress up and look smart as we bring you to a special venue. This event is also open to gentlemen, you are very welcome too.
